Flattop

On top of Flattop Peak. 3550 feet about sea level.

The rock face Nathania and I climbed up, Mom and Dad made it about half way...it's a lot steeper than it looks.

It's a little clearer how steep the mountain was. It was tricky coming down as well because of all the loose rocks and gravel.

This is the ridge of rocks you have to climb up to get to the top...quite steep.

This however is one of the views you get when you get to the top....sooooo worth it!

This is in the direction of Anchorage.

Byron Glacier #2

We had planned on doing the Winner Creek Trail again with Mom and Dad, but there was a huge festival going on in Girdwood, where the trail starts. We then decided to go to the glacier instead. I was not dressed properly to walk on the snow...sandals and shorts...it was cold but a lot of fun. The snow field is huge! We slid down one of the hills on our butts...just like sledding, but alot colder!

My attempt at a snow angel, however, it was cold and I was not properly clothed!

Byron Glacier #1

Mom and Dad on the field of snow in front of Byron glacier
The run-off went into a huge, very cold river!

The water cut out huge holes in the snow just below the glacier.
The glacier as we walked towards it...

Clear Creek Cabin #2

Chopping some wood

Nathania fishing...she caught a rainbow trout, but didn't keep it.

The boat ride out to the cabin...and the boats we went out on.

Clear Creek Cabin #1

Cabin that we stayed in over the Fourth of July weekend. Hand built and in the middle of nowhere. It was great!

Sitting by the campfire...it was the best way to avoid the nasty mosiquitos!
Oh you got to love the faces she makes!
