Portage Glacier
The Lake was created as the glacier has receeded. Nothing lives in the lake because the silt that is in the lake does not allow any sunlight in, so there is no plant life.
It was really cold...and we were not prepared. We both had sandals and capris on....bad idea!
It was raining again, but it wasn't as bad the first time we attempted to go!

I suggest you pack an emergency weather kit for the car. I used to do that for Nathania's soccer games and track meets. An extra blanket or two, an umbrella, and a sweat shirt, sweat pants AND extra socks.
